Weight Loss Whoopsie

So, yeah.

This week wasn't my best week in the weight loss arena. This new school program may just be the death of me. We got our supplies Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday was mostly spent at the cardiologist, and so Thursday was our first attempt to teach with all the required materials.

Imagine with me: Three children, three curriculum plans, two children each needing to complete four hours of school and the third needing two, one laptop computer without wireless access so it was wired in the bedroom where Josh was trying to sleep after working the night before and the wire to the router is so short each kid had to sit with me on the floor against the bedroom door. We started school at 8:30am and finished sometime around 6pm. Needless to say, I missed some exercise, for a few days in a row. Then I fell off the bandwagon with a little bit of frustration and ate any chocolate I could find. (I was surprised how much I was able to scrounge up.)

So I lost nothing this week. Ugh. But, I'll just dust myself off and try again next week. And Valentine's Day and its plethora of delicious sugar isn't helping me any at all.

But, as we always say.....

WE CAN DO IT!!!

How'd you do?

I was snowed in all week. Just me, my kids, my husband, and the kitchen.
I did not make any desserts. Wow I'm amazing. I gave chocolate to my husband (I do a valentine's countdown) and I didn't eat much. Really, I swear.
I did make muffins, waffles, and gooey rich warm dinners.
Quite unfortunately, I led the charge on our family's consumption of at least 3/4 of a can of church food storage hot cocoa.
My exercise consisted of snow shoveling, and I did a fair amount of that.
So my results this week are mixed and I am scared to step on the scale.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. (Jillian would yell at me, maybe even Bob) My stomach just keeps getting rounder and sticking out more and more! It doesn't seem to matter what I eat or what exercise I do! To make matters worse, it feels like something is trying to push its way out of my belly button! Talk about an Alien Encounter!! :)

To just not gain on a week like you've had is not a bad accomplishment at all ... plus you've had a couple of really good weeks in a row. You're doing it!

Oh yeah, I sucked this week too! But it was my birthday and Valentines...On the up side, I started running in my Vibram 5 Fingers and didn't have nearly the knee (stemming from bad hips) pain that I have been having. Different muscles hurt and I feel confident that maybe I can get up to 5 or 6 miles in them and maybe even tackle a half sometime in the future. Woo hoo. Also, I fit into my pants! YES!!! Now I just need to work on the mOmmy beLly...I read an article about a "Belly Bandit" today...wondering if it works. I have resigned myself to standing up taller and sucking in better. Ha ha. On to another week! WE CAN DO IT!!!

I'm impressed you SURVIVED the week, regardless of any weight loss or gain! You're AMAZING!

My weight loss was surprisingly successful.... 4 pounds in 1 week! My mom and I are doing Weight Watchers, and I surprisingly love it. I think it does help that my mom is doing it with me. Oby doesn't track points, but he's aware of them and tries to do about what I do. I even stuck to my points going out for Valentine's Day and having movie poopcorn!

Your attitude is exactly right. Looking ahead to next week and not focusing on last week.

You can do it!!!
