Disney Vacation Day Three

Our third day of vacation, but second day at Disneyland, was spent finishing up Frontierland and Adventureland. We met up with Josh, Melanie and Simone again. I realized afterward that we didn't get any pictures with them. Where was I on that one?

We started out going on Pirates of the Caribbean

and then headed over to the Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island. Every other time I've been to Disneyland, this island was closed, so I thought it was really cool to go over and check it out.

By then, Josh and his crew were done standing in line to get Tinkerbell's autograph (it only took them an hour and a half). We all went to The Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, and the Tiki Room. We got Fast Passes for Splash Mountain, but they weren't valid until after 7pm, so we broke so they could do their shopping. We got the kids something to eat and headed over to California Adventure Park to see the Pixar Parade. This was the only parade we watched, but it was so worth it. Any family with kids that like Pixar movies have to go to this. We were an hour early and had a great spot. In fact, we had plenty of time to take tons of pictures. Too many to pick from, so I made this slideshow.

We did the Grizzly River Raft ride and met Josh and Melanie to ride Splash Mountain together. Our kids loved it, but Simone wasn't much of a fan. Poor girl about died on the final free fall. We had reservations at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney, but because of the parade on Main St all easy routes to Downtown were completely blocked, so we missed our reservation. Instead we stayed stranded in Tomorrowland. We rode Astro Orbitor, Star Tours and Astro Blasters.

Emma and Abby's favorite ride of the day was the Grizzly River Raft. Matt loved the Tiki Room, also called the "Twiki" Room or the "Tweety" Room.

That's cool you guys got to see the parade. We never stopped to watch it. We only go for one day, and don't give ourselves enough time to ride the rides and watch the parade. I bet the kids loved it!

You guys have so many more attractions than we do in France!
I love it! :D
